The bridge is the representation of the mind in a SHIP form. two helmsmen playing the eyes and you'll have sonar and translation playing the ears the logic will be delt with the science officer and the creativity with tactical first officer being your feedback like it's very weird but it's how a MIND truly works the person you are is many mental process all aware of their actions at some level in time as we slow dip like a paper aeroplane to our final destination. i will make this reality work

Brought tears to my eyes and a lump in my throat. Bless Gene Roddenberry for creating Spock and Leonard Nimoy for bringing him to life. And bless you all for this wonderful tribute.

This scene actually did happen, in a book called "The Return". Or at least a scene very similar to this. Shatner wrote the book back in 1997. Great series which had quite a few really amazing spin off books. In the book Spock goes to Veridian 3 to gather up Kirk's remains only to see the body beamed away. Turns out the Romulans and Borg are working together and revive Kirk in hopes to making him the next Locutus style Borg. Kirk gets to see Ambassador Spock, Admiral McCoy, and Scotty once again and for a short time they band together to help the Federation once again. I think there were 6 or so books in the series including Spectre (Book with Spock from the Mirror Universe), and Preserver, and Dark Victory. Very well written stories involving some of the original Star Trek Crew as well as the TNG crew, even some Voyager and Mirror universe folks.

The only Enterprises I don't like are J, which seems to be near universally disliked, because it's way too similar to an NX Enterprise and doesn't make much sense, and the G because it seems like a complete regression for seemingly no logical reason. Enterprise-E is probably the most logical 'conclusion' to the hull form that started with the original, at least with 24th/25th century technology. It seems nearly entirely refined where only minor tweaks would be possible, inviting the possibility of a fairly radically new hull form. I understand some of the in-universe reasons for the Constitution III class' design but I don't really like/buy that justification and that class of ship should not have become an Enterprise, as they should be flagships. Enterprise-F is an acceptable continuation I think but it does seem to be slightly regressed given how refined E was, but with a little work I think it fits fine, it looks visually a lot smaller then E even though IIRC it's a *lot* bigger in cannon

The final look of the Enterprise-C may have been designed by Sternbach, but it was based on a concept by Andrew Probert, which already practically looked like the final version. It's a shame he wasn't mentioned here.
